Hi There,
Just had to write and tell you a huge THANK YOU!  My son Zach was getting into difficulty at school because he always had something in his mouth - erasers, paper etc.  We were always telling him "No! Stop fidgeting".  Then I realised that Zach has a sensory need - so our next task was finding a tool to satisfy that need while being socially acceptable at school. That's when I found Kid's Companion!  I was thrilled!  Not only did it satisfy Zach's sensory need to fidget, but it was something that was still "cool" for a boy to wear.  Zach was beyond excited to wear his "fidget" to school and it is making a big difference.  Thank you for helping us say "Yes! you can fidget with this!" Nova Scotia, Canada: Focusing in Math class was rather hard, but the day this 10 year old realized her KC doubled as an eraser, she made quite a stir. No one else had one of those! (we had no idea the KC could erase... we tried, it does! It should be washed before chewing and it won't last as long, but what innovation!)

We are co-owners of the sensory tool line "Kid Companions -Chewelry" and now "HeartString Baby's Companion -for parents of infants". Our goal is to help special kids be themselves and thrive. Our products give parents peace of mind and support their special children. Mother and grand-mother of special needs children, we have dedicated many hours to assure our products are safe and non-toxic. We pride ourselves on our made-in-Canada, sourced in North America commitment and our social and environmental responsibility.

Kid Companions are a line by Pida Infant & maternity Products, based in Nova Scotia, Canada. This company was started in 2006 by a mother of 3, Pierrette d'Entremont, with a background in human kinetics and jewelry design.

With her growing children, the owner of Pida I& MP noticed that her daughter, with Tourette Syndrome and OCD, very much appreciated a heart pendant she had made for her teething sister. She could fidget to focus discreetly and fashionably! Soon, we realized that other parents were looking for such accessories for their special needs children.

With some research we have now made a durable, colorful and safe necklace. Still sourced in North America, our materials are as economical (family friendly) as possible without compromising safety or social responsibility.

Safe, washable and colorful, shapes are smooth and pleasing with a hard embossed "dot" surrounded by a rubbery heart or circle.

The pendants are chewable.

The heart shape also has an added oval dip similar in shape and function as a worry stone, wonderful for some children. view details

A custom breakaway clasp will release and can be re-attached with ease. 18” or 20" necklaces (lanyards) are made with durable and washable rayon/cotton that is dyed with safe dyes.

They are safe, bpa, phthalate, pvc, lead and latex free accessories made for children-teens.

Kid Companions come in 4 heart colors and a black or while circle. Watch for new colors and contact us for updates.

NOTE: Like any chewable item, Kid Companions will eventually breakdown due to daily wear. Discarding and replacing the item suggested. Average use is 6-12 weeks or longer is used as a fidget or as an addition to other chewables.
